I Dream in Shades of Tungsten and Rust

My inspiration is the power and beauty of vintage steampunk machinery.

The Metropolitan Waterworks Museum in Boston–captured in the photos within this piece–is breathtaking. It includes three original coal-powered, steam-driven water pumps. The engines are metal behemoths with countless details to explore.

This artwork includes photographic vignettes of these industrial giants, supplemented with favorite smaller appliances: clock parts, a hand beater, and the exquisite 1930s double-sided flip toaster.
