Pylon Birds

This intaglio collagraph print, made from a recycled box, was created by carving away layers of cardboard to form the printing plate. Hand-printed on an etching press, it incorporates chine collé with mulberry paper. The image depicts a pylon tower rising from the water, with birds perched on its structure and in flight, weaving through intersecting power lines. Inspired by the coexistence of industry and nature, the composition captures the movement of birds within urban infrastructure.
