On the Go

The title of this painting refers to three ideas: my son graduated college and was on the go in a new life in San Francisco; he was on the go exploring and adventuring; and at the same time he was playing the game Pokemon Go on his phone! Artistically, I created a strong central composition, used loose gestural colors for energy, and included a hint of a simplified Color Chord landscape behind him (in reference to another body of work of mine)
