All entries will be notified between 12 PM and 8 PM on Tuesday, March 4th, by email. A list of all accepted work will be posted on the BAYarts website www.bayarts.net Wednesday, March 5th, at 12PM.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCEPTED ENTRANTS:
All accepted work should be delivered to BAYarts, 28795 Lake Road, Bay Village OH 44140 - Monday, March 10th, 2025 between 10AM and 7PM and Tuesday, March 11, 2025 between 9AM and 12PM. All work must be wired and ready to hang - work not wired will not be accepted- no sawtooth hangers, please. BAYarts WILL RETAIN 40% OF EACH SALE.
Jurors:
Mary Urbas
Mary Urbas was the Gallery Coordinator/Exhibition Curator/Installation Designer for The Gallery at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland from 2005 - 2024. She initiated a highly successful “May Show at Lakeland Juried Art Exhibition” fifteen years ago, which features local and regional artists; and curates “from WOMAN. Created by women, of women & about women” every March to Celebrate Women’s History Month, now in its 18th year. In 2020, Mary Urbas received a National Endowment for the Arts Grant “Creating a visual journey through Northeast Ohio”. Compiled an online and print version of a directory: featuring over 100 studios, 200+ female artists. Mary Urbas has over 46 years of experience in the professional art world as a gallery owner, curator, teacher, consultant, and an award winning exhibiting Fiber Artist. Mary received her BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a major in Textile Design and Silk Screen Printing, with minors in Weaving and Printmaking.
Gina Washington
Gina Washington considers herself a Child of the Universe and has traveled to many places collecting images and connecting artists. She creates art by any means necessary. She has been a judge for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Valley Arts Center 52 annual exhibition, The Sculpture Center's upcoming season of Revealed Artists, and more. She has served on the Shorts Program Team for the Cleveland International Film Festival since 2019, judging and programming the festival. With art, she brings clarity and solutions to challenges and makes art accessible to all people, especially the disenfranchised and underrepresented in the global community.
